Caution: Tears to ensue

Okay so today I paid a visit to my friendly neighborhood fireworks stand in preperation for our annual family fireworks festivities. I purchased my share that should more than make the boys cry uncle and crown me supreme queen of the fireworks once again. I have shown off my 'small stuff' so that they will think they are winning and have secreted away several surprises in a place that shall not be named.

I currently posses: several smoke bombs, parachutes, snappers, chickens, and possibly a panda or a bee. Also in my arsenal are a New York New York, a Seattle, A unicorn, a Gold and silver sparkles, a peach tree, a 300 shot saturn battery, and other assorted small cake fountains.

In my secret arsenal I have several LARGE fireworks sure to make them cry and a couple large cake fountains.

Two years ago(the last time i was allowed to compete i was banned from last years competition for unsportsman like behavior apparently victory dances aren't appreciated by the losers) I walloped their behinds with such wonderosities as a 750 shot saturn battery(boy was that a pain to clean up), a giant 16 shot Golden Willow and numerous small fireworks. I am now counting down the days to the 4th and hoping against all hope that my uncle decides that it is OK to come out this year as we have had no response on his part as to wether he and my aunt and cousin shall be attending hopefully sans bottle rockets and dog.

Some of my perusings for the week

Okay so Tiff has been hounding me lately about Blood Ties and the "Blood books". So last week I reserved 4 of the 5 on the libraries website. They came in today! I got the first 4 books sadly the library doesn't have the fifth one on their owned list. I also checked out "The Dadddy Clock" by Judy Markey, it is HILARIOUS! I have been laughing my butt off the whole time. I also picked up(not pictured) "The Wedding Survior" that is on my list to read soon.

I am looking for some more books since my list is currently rather short, and sweet. It will only take me probably about 5 days to get through these books, I am also discovering the beauty of audiobooks and am sitting here currently listening to "Can You Keep a Secret" by Sophie Kinsella.

Things that don't go together

Okay so I am sitting here tonight at almost 11:30 and talking to my best friend Tiff, and listening to my audiobook 'Can You Keep a Secret?' By Sophie Kinsella. We are sitting here chittering about some of our favorite fangirl topics- Stargate Atlantis, NCIS, my new show(mostly the topic of conversation) Blood Ties. Apparently listening to a silly romance novel read in a silly english accent(well several tones), does not go well with competently discussing vampires and underworld baddies. The two topics don't mix well, and make me giggle like crazy when combined.

My first SGA love

For those of you who know me you know that I am a HUGE fan of SGA(stargate atlantis) and you also know that my favorite s2/3 and beyond character is Dr. Rodney Mckay(though I let Tiffany 'own' him most of the time). However my first love on SGA wasn't John, or Radek, or Ford, or Carson, or Rodney. NO WAY! My first(and continuing best) love on SGA was Craig Veroni as Dr. Peter Grodin. He is so freaking adorable in that role I absolutely love him! He may have been in only 10 episodes but it was enough to secure him a place in my heart that is special. I loved Rising part 1 and 2, Hide and Seek, 38 minutes, Childhood's end, Underground, Hot Zone, Sanctuary, and Before I Sleep, they were great wonderful sweet episodes. He also appeared in the SG-1 episode "Grace" as the Weapons Officer(to the right of the captain in the front of the ship). He also appeared in "The Seige part 1" but as much screen time as he got in that episode I do not like it because of how it ends. If you don't know in the end Peter ends up dying which was enough to make my fangirl heart very very sad. It has suddenly become an issue with me because of the fact that a lot of different people have been making the comment that "Nobody really dies in Sci Fi" I mean come on can anybody say DOUBLE STANDARD? Carson can come back what then that really opens a lot of doors that probably shouldn't be opened. I mean dont get me wrong, I was saddened by Carson's death, but when he comes back it will mean that it was just a big blip on the radar.

Elizabeth Weir before she was herself

So I am sitting here watching Stargate SG-1 "The Lost City" episode because I know that is when we are introduced to Elizabeth, so I was quite excited by this fact since she is my favorite female character on SGA. So I sit down to watch and VOILA! it is NOT! Elizabeth which is in the same boat as Crazy! Ford, or Bug! Sheppard or the list goes on. So who was this Elizabeth? I don't really know I don't even know her name does anyone know her name? I mean McKay was McKay from the start why not elizabeth i mean it changed when? from the scary blonde ditz to the smart, funny, sweet, caring, well rounded brunette with plenty of new angles. I mean its this this BLONDE in "The Lost City 1 & 2" then it becomes Torri in "The New Order 1 & 2" I like Torri soooo much better than Jessica Steen.

I mean dont get me wrong JS is great in her OTHER role on NCIS as Special Agent Paula Cassidy. She is much better suited for that than she is for Elizabeth.

Holy heck! I'm a blogger now

My first blog on blogger that is. I have had a myspace for a while(www.myspace.com/kass21506) but decided to try my hand over here at blogger. The title comes from my day job of goat farmer. Goats have 4 stomachs one of which is the RUMEN where most of the digestion takes place. Since a lot of my writings take some digestion to understand, hence the title.
