The No-Ponytail Challenge day 1

Today in Fussy's Fight the Frump, SAHMmy challenged us to give up ponytails for a WHOLE WEEK! Thats right 7 days of no pony tails, buns, scrunchies, jaw clips, or banna clips(ha!). Since for the last approximately 6.5 years I have sported nothing other than a ponytail, I willingly agreed, decided to take her up on the challenge.

So I took the hair down(see below pictures for proof), now I just have to figure out what to do with my unruly, just below shoulder length hair for 7 days. Any suggestions would be much appreciated especially for wednesday, and thursday as I have to drive down to seattle both days for various doctor's appointments(wednesday at children's and thursday @ the university).

(I apologize in advance for the quality they were all snapped with my camera phone as i couldn't find my digital camera)

Oh just in case you're wondering- I'd been outside feeding, and fixing the automatic waterer and its pouring buckets at the moment. I was soaked(even *WITH* the waterproof pants, jacket combot) so i grabbed the first dry shirt I could find!

So I will freely admit that I am a TOMBOY. Pure, and simple tomboy. I love playing in the dirt, working with my hands and mucking around in horrid looking ensembles. Fussy would kill me. Seriously. I break most every fashion rule out there BUT! on the bright side I hardly ever leave the property looking like that(only when its kidding season and i'm subsisting on caffine and no sleep then and only than is it even remotely approved).

One thing I hardly ever do is buy new shoes. I recently decided that I was tired of wearing my ratty old tennis shoes everywhere and would LOVE to purchase a pair of stylish yet simple ballet flats(as I am very gravitationally challenged). I kept browsing and browsing and trying on shoes, and couldn't find a single pair that I liked that also fit(heck i even had my feet measured apparently i've been buying the wrong size for a while). I was walking around in my newest pair of rejects when something on the bottom shelf caught my eye. I walked over for a closer look and pulled out a pair of GOREGOUS chocolate brown boots. They were pretty dressy for my 'usual' look- a pair of jeans and a t-shirt BUT they were also just dressy enough to wear with a nice skirt if need be(i do NOT do skirts). I decided on a whim that I should try them on just you know because I could. I had glanced at the price tag and decided they were 'out of my price range'(i hate spending a ton on shoes) but figured it wouldn't hurt to at least try them on.

So I slipped the goregous boots on and zipped them up, and lo and behold they zipped! I stood up and I swear I have never met a more perfect pair of boots than these. They fit like a dream, they make my legs look awesome(my butt too!) and they are casual enough I can wear them as an 'everyday' piece. So the salesgirl who'd been helping me came up to check on me and saw me with the boots and informed that they were on sale! for $12! I was so excited that I nearly cried. I purchased THE BOOTS on the spot and will be tossing my old boots in the near future.

Cat Snuggles

***EDIT**** I was originally going to call this post 'puss in boots' in honor of the shrek character that our cat looks like but decided against it.

Tommorow I will have a Ranting post for you as I am very ticked at this moment but I am going to cool down before a write the post(so it may not even show up).

A dog's life

Photobucket

Hey everybody, Lilly here! After my human's silly entry last week some of you suggested that I should drop by and do a guest entry(yeah i read comments thats right!). So I helped the little human make a giant mess so that I could come to you live from my couch!

Photobucket

Around the house I am the boss, I may be little but that doesn't mean I'm not tough. Though don't try and make me go outside(mom's always trying to do that what do I look like a malmute?!) its C O L D out there and I might freeze. Going out in the summer is okay though because someone might come and play frisbee with me or fill our wading pool with the kickin' slide.

Photobucket

I'm one of 3 dogs in the house- Eeyore is the youngest of us, and Jack is the newest, me? I'm just the ole lady round this place. Mom has 7 cats all of which are hilarious. they try to pretend they hate us dogs but when mom isn't looking I like to cuddle with them especially darryl he's a nut. Out in the yard we have some crazy chickens that think they are cats- seriously dont they know cat food contains chicken?! who wander around making wierd noises. Then there are the two odd balls in the ducks- Quackers and Slowpoke, there used to be a third duck but that idjit Eeyore decided she fancied her a meal of duck and ate Cheese Whiz(I feel sorry for the ducks who names their ducks quakers and cheese whiz?)

Photobucket

I love the little human that runs around here, she's pretty awesome. She likes to chill in her high chair and share all of her food with me cause I'm her buddy. Sometimes she sits on me and chills out but mostly she uses me for boxer bustin' practice. I think that little human's gonna grow up to be a rodeo clown! She is K-RAZY! I like it when the little human gets to go to the fast food resturants cause she always smuggles me some fries home I love me some contraband french fries. See mom thinks that I am overweight and need to slim down a little so I shouldn't be getting any french fries anymore- I just wish she'd realize that fluffy is the new thin!

Photobucket

I love it when in the spring mom's other girls have their little tiny babies(mom raises goats) and they come live in the house. Those little things are adorable and I like licking them! They smell kind of funny at first but they sure do taste yummy!

Well I gotta go the little human and I have a long day tommorow! Oh I almost forgot HELLO! to THE MEXICAN! How are you?! I really feel for ya! man I hate baths too!
