Oh how the time flies...

So I was digging through some of my photo folders and found some pictures of snows gone by:

Spring, has it really sprung?

All week we have been living under the threat of some pretty nasty weather at the end of the week. Yesterday, in many places it rained, snowed, hailed and many other weather phenomena. Here? It was grey and overcast, just the way I like it. Heck even Mrs. Flinger had snow at her house yesterday. I left her a comment telling her about our comparatively 'gorgeous' weather.

Last night? About 10 o'clock? What happens?

That's right it started snowing, A LOT. It didn't stop for a couple of hours.

 

At about 4 am it looked like this:

I got up this morning finding it had snowed some more at some point.

Actually it didn't snow the goat, she just wanted to pose for a picture.   

 

Oh and Mother Nature? In case you didn't hear its April, the 18th/19th, can we please have some SPRING weather? Please? I don't think I can survive until summer other wise.

Snow snow go away!

I thought it was SPRING.

Spring means:

Flowers
Sunshine
Dirt
Grass
Baby goats

NOT SNOW! Here it is the 29th, and it is snowing AGAIN. In the last 3 days we've gotten about a 8-10 inches of snow. I'm seriously tired of it!

What I woke up to this morning

So its March right? Spring has sprung? Than, why oh why did it SNOW this morning? The white fluffy stuff fell from the sky, coating the ground, and all the other stuff around here with a wintery jacket.

Snow days, and books

Why is it that when we are kids, we look forward to snow days with such excitment that when we have them it is too much for us? At what age is it that snow days become the bane of our existance- a day to be reviled as we have others to entertain and none of our precious 'kidless time'? Is it when you graduate from high school? when you are in college? when you have school age children? What about none of the above?

Today our school district(and many others) had a snow day. Now granted I could see the point down south where they got several inches of snow. Up here though our grand total was under 2 inches of snow. The roads had some compact snow but weren't really all that icy nothing that chaining the buses and putting them on snow routes and a 2 hour delay wouldn't of been able to handle. Honestly I think I resented the snow today more than I ever have. See when there is no school it means that my whole family ends up staying home. That SUCKS!

Now don't get me wrong I love seeing the joy in kenzie's eyes when she saw the snow falling lazily out of the sky; but I just cannot stand spending weekdays with the family!

This week was marked by another trip to the library to pick up some more reading material. So today I finally got to sit down and read the last book(i still have one more but its the most current book) of the Temperance Brennan series. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love that series. Its suspenseful but not overly so, it has plot twists that you don't see coming, and a cast of characters that you're guaranteed to find someone you identify with. I finished all 40 chapters in less than 4 hours tonight. I cannot wait to get my hands on the first book of the series- Deja Dead.

Soo soft!

January 8th

Okay so today I have my much promised snow pictures and a quick movie from yesterdays' snow fall. Yes that is me sounding dorky behind the camera! The pictures are out of order and were taken from bottom to top(not the way they are stacked) we went and visited her friends the goats and the little black one in front that she is touching is HER goat ms. Silver. She loves that little goat.

Today I had to deal with the insurance adjuster and got my side of the story filed sent her my estimate, and also the pictures of the accident damage. I must say that I LOVE the digital era we are living in. While I was on the phone with her I emailed her the pics(thus eliminating the need for a visual inspection), and we also pulled up a Google map of the intersection and went over where I was where the OD was, what happened etc. made for a lot clearer picture for her. She also said that YES i do have to have the car seat replaced(was pretty sure of that in the first place). There still hasn't been a liability determination but she did get the OD's statement from him, and apparently he has already had his visual inspection done by them, so now we just have to wait for everything to be in the computer. He readily admitted to her that he had NOT filed any kind of claim with his insurance, in fact hadn't even talked to them. So who knows where we will go from here?


OH! I am really jazzed Stargate Atlantis(my favorite tv show) won a PCA award tonight for the best sci fi show! A bunch of my other favorites won too but that was super duper exciting since I voted and voted on it!

January 7th

This entry was typed yesterday but I fell asleep early so didn't get a chance to post it.

So this morning I woke up and it was grey and dreary outside and I had to get to work and got out there and was working. I happened to look out the window and saw that it was SNOWING! I continued working since 'work' is right across the parking area. Come out and its still snowing and kept snowing for about a half hour. It snowed an hour in total for about 2 inches. Kenzie and I went out and played for a while and i snapped a bunch of pic's and a couple videos so will post those tommorow(today).

other than that nothing much new. filed a claim with the OG's insurance and tried to get a hold of my adjuster but she was out of the office for the day.
